From Sam Chui:
I traveled to the UK to see the Final British Airways 747 flight and landing. During this trip, I was able to see all 3 British Airways Retro Liveries 747 across the countryside in England and Wales. My first stop was Dunsfold Aerodrome, I visited the Landor livery 747. I was able to go inside and take a last look of the cabin and cockpit. Then I drove to Cotswold Airport to see Negus livery 747. Cotswold Airport CEO Suzannah Harvey personally gave me a tour and explain the work to save the 747. My last stop was in Cardiff, Wales where the BOAC livery 747 flew out from Cardiff to St Athan. It was a very short ferry flight but a very emotional one as this was the final BA 747 flight. I was at St Athan to watch the Final BA 747 landing. It was a great momentous landing with a quick stop on the short runway. After landing, I went inside the 747 to interview the pilots and witness the final power down of the 747. It was the end of an era for British Airways 747. All 3 BA retro 747 liveries (Landor, Negus and BOAC) will be preserved in the UK.
A marvellous video. I wish I could have been there. But I’m lucky that I did see this aircraft in person when it visited Chicago in 2019.

I’ve been flying over and photographing London from a helicopter for almost twenty years. I work from AS355s, which are twin engined machines, giving access to the whole city. Harnessed and leaning out of the side door, you get stunning views. It’s amazing fun most of the time, but a challenging place to work from. It’s pretty cramped with all your camera gear, incredibly noisy and in the winter months definitely gets a little cold.

This is truly wonderful. What a joy to scroll through!
London owes its very existence to bridges, since the location of the capital upon the banks of the Thames was defined by the lowest crossing point of the river. No wonder that the London & Middlesex Archaeological Society collected this edifying series of pictures of bridges on glass plates to use in their magic lantern shows at the Bishopsgate Institute.
