On a warm Thursday in Soho, Dean Street is deserted. “This is relatively busy for lockdown Soho”, says Clare Lynch, a DJ at Soho Radio, who has kept her morning show on air since late March from her Brewer Street flat. She points out “two or three” people pottering around — the area’s electoral roll counts 2,000 Soho inhabitants, and Lynch, standing well away from me, says the actual number is 3,500. During quarantine, the capital has drained outwards.
